Synchronizing Data

Identifying the data differences between two databases helps you as a DBA/Developer in many ways but, often, your job does not end there. You need to migrate those changes from one database to another. Data compare allows you to do just that - you can generate a synchronization script that will update the database you choose to.

A data synchronization operation performs three key actions:

Updates - rows that are different will be updated on the target database to match the source database.
Inserts - rows that exist only on the source database will be inserted on the target database.
Deletes - rows that exist only on the target database will be deleted from the target database.

You can exclude any of these actions via the corresponding comparison option.
