Preparing the Comparison

Before comparing two databases, xSQL Data Compare will analyze the structure of these databases (or the structure of the selected tables). If you manually map the tables, via Compare Tables/Views, the mapped tables are the only ones that will be compared. It you compare whole databases, data compare first performs a automatic mapping of all tables based on their names, that is every table on the source database is mapped to a table on the target database that has the same owner.name.

During this preparation phase you will be able to set the mapping rules, exclude tables and columns, create custom comparison keys and define where clauses.
